While many real estate agents come into their present field by leaving behind a previous career, Jim Pearson and Kathy King have prepared for and practiced their professional real estate careers since college.
After graduating with degrees in Economics and Political Science, Jim immediately launched his real estate career working with several prestigious home development firms. Jim´s achievements were rewarded with several management positions such as Sales Manager and Director of Sales. Jim´s years in these positions directly honed his sales and marketing skills and can be attributed to his great success today. As an added advantage, Jim holds a California Contractor´s license and has been called upon to utilize his full range of skills to build, market, and sell custom new homes.
Kathy earned her college degree in Business Management and has drawn on her leadership abilities by holding management positions throughout her career. She embarked upon her real estate career by holding the position of Office Manager at a new home development firm. She soon answered the siren´s call of real estate sales and acquired her license. Kathy spent many years grooming her real estate prowess while managing projects and selling homes for major developers in California. In 1975 Kathy opened the office of King Realty in Sherman Oaks. Success followed in the path of Kathy´s footsteps as she owned and operated King Realty for 22 years before being enticed by a larger firm to acquire her thriving business. Today Kathy is the manager of the Encino branch of Prudential California Realty, continuing in her career path by managing and mentoring other real estate agents.
In 1987, Kathy and Jim began a partnership; both in life and in real estate. Together as a team they possess extensive backgrounds in real estate, quite literally "from the ground, up". Clients who have engaged Kathy and Jim to handle their real estate needs continue to come back to Kathy and Jim each time their need arises, evidencing why Kathy and Jim build "clients for life".
